Yes — if you paid for childcare or care for a disabled dependent so you could work or look for work, you may claim the Child and Dependent Care Credit. The credit covers up to $3,000 of expenses for one qualifying person ($6,000 for two or more), and the credit rate ranges from 20% to 35% depending on your income. Both spouses must have earned income (or one must be a full-time student). The care must be for a qualifying child under age 13 or a physically or mentally incapable dependent. You cannot double-count expenses reimbursed through a Dependent Care FSA.
